Updated over a year ago

On the 23rd of October 2023, Google will enforce changes to better protect student data privacy. These changes may affect your student’s (all users whose age is set as below 18) ability to log in to Toddle via the Google SSO option.

To ensure your students’ access to Toddle, please follow the instructions below. You need to be signed in with the Google Workspace administrator account to access these configuration settings.

1. Navigate to your admin console using admin.google.com

2. Once logged in, you will see a tile for ‘App access control’ under Security> Access and data control> API controls

5. On the next screen, select who to configure the access for. You can either select the first option that will have your school's domain name (shown as ‘toddleapp.com(all users)’ in the below screenshot) or select specific org units for your school.

Note: In the second option, you can select up to 10 organizational units. If you’re configuring more than 10, you can configure in bulk using a CSV file, in 3 simple steps:

  1. Download the CSV file from the Google admin console

  2. Enter app information in the file and save it

  3. Upload the file

Once done, click ‘Next’.

6. Moving on, you will have the option to select one of the following levels of access that Toddle will have to Google the data of your students.

  • Trusted—Users can sign in with Google to the Toddle app and the app can request access to Google data, both restricted and unrestricted Google services, such as calendar, Google Drive, etc.

  • Limited—Users can sign in with Google to Toddle app and the app can request access only to unrestricted Google data.

  • Blocked—Users can’t sign in with Google to Toddle app and the app can’t request access to any Google data.

Once done, click ‘Next’.
