Viewing notifications on web
Click on the bell icon on the top right corner of your homepage to view the notifications you have received as a student.
The notifications panel provides a comprehensive view of all your notifications. Unread notifications are indicated by numbered badges. For efficient management, notifications are segregated into tabs such as Primary, Portfolio, Assignments, and Announcements. The numbers against these tabs represent the count of unread notifications in each category.
Each notification includes an icon showing its source and a brief description of the activity, along with the date it was received. You can click on any notification to go to the exact part of the platform where that notification was triggered.
Click on the ‘Mark all as read’ icon to mark all notifications as read. Additionally, the ‘Show only unread’ icon allows you to filter out the notifications that are unread, helping you manage large volumes efficiently.
Lastly, you can customize your notification preferences using the gear icon, which we will explore in detail in the next section.
Configuring notification preferences on web
To configure the preferences related to your notifications, click on the gear icon under the Notifications panel.
On the ‘Notification preferences’ page, you can view the various events that trigger notifications with its default settings. For each event, you can use checkboxes to decide whether or not to receive notifications.
Additionally, you can specify your preference for receiving notifications in-app, via email, or as push notifications on mobile. The changes you make here will be applied with immediate effect. Please note that email notifications will only be sent if your email is connected to your Toddle account.
Note that your administrator can choose to disable notifications for specific triggers. In such cases, you will not receive notifications for those triggers and will see an alert icon on the web, as shown below. This setting cannot be overridden by you. If the admins have enabled notifications for a particular trigger, only then you can choose to enable or disable them according to your preference.
💡The modules displayed on the left pane will vary based on the curriculum you are enrolled in.
