Viewing notifications on the web

Click on the bell icon on the top right corner of your homepage to view the notifications you have received as a family member.

💡Please note that notifications for all your children are consolidated under this tab.

The notifications panel is segregated into two tabs: Primary (for notifications related to task evaluation, unit sharing, and more) and Announcements (for notifications specific to announcements).

Unread notifications are indicated by numbered badges and red dots. Each notification includes an icon showing its source (e.g., Unit plan) and a brief description of the activity, along with the time it was received. You can click on any notification to go to the exact part of the platform where that notification was triggered.

Click on the ‘Mark all as read’ icon to mark all notifications as read. Additionally, the ‘Show only unread’ icon allows you to filter out the notifications that are unread, helping you manage large volumes efficiently.

Lastly, you can customize your notification preferences using the gear icon, which we will explore in detail in the next section.

On the ‘Notification preferences’ page, you can view the various events that trigger notifications with its default settings.

For each event, you can use checkboxes to decide whether or not to receive notifications. Additionally, you can specify your preference for receiving notifications in-app, via email, or as push notifications on mobile. The changes you make here will be applied with immediate effect.

Note that your administrator can choose to disable notifications for specific triggers. In such cases, you will not receive notifications for those triggers and will see an alert icon on the web, as shown below. This setting cannot be overridden by you. If the admins have enabled notifications for a particular trigger, only then you can choose to enable or disable them according to your preference.

💡Please note that if you have more than one child added to the platform, the same notification preferences would apply to all.

Note that not all email notifications will direct you to the respective module within the mobile app, as it offers limited features compared to the web. In such cases, it is recommended to access the email notification via the web for the full functionality.
