TOK Exhibition Components

Proposal submission

The first step for you as a student entails putting together a proposal for your TOK exhibition. The ‘Proposal’ section on Toddle is where you can select an IA prompt from the list provided by IB and choose one of the TOK themes. Next, use the ‘Add object’ button to document your 3 TOK objects.

You will be able to add a title for the object, mention its source, and provide an explanation for your choice using additional remarks. Feel free to hover over the objects to edit or delete them as needed.

To have a one-on-one conversation with your supervisor about any TOK exhibition element, simply click on the comment icon located above the respective field. If you notice a red badge next to any section in the left pane, it indicates that the teacher has left a comment for you or made updates in that section. Additionally, a red dot on the comment icon will tell you the exact field where a comment has been added. This behavior applies to tracking comments in other sections as well.

Once your proposal is approved by the supervisor, you will receive a notification under the bell icon on your homepage. Additionally, the top bar of your screen will consistently display the current status of your TOK exhibition as determined by your supervisor.

Reflection Space

The ‘Reflection space’ is where you can record your learning and reflections throughout your investigation process. Click on the ‘Add’ button to add a new reflection. You may document reflections as notes, photos, videos, links, and more. If you wish to make any changes, use the three dot-menu to edit or delete. Your supervisor can view these reflections and comment on each one.

Exhibition commentary

Under the ‘Exhibition commentary’ section, submit draft and final versions of the commentary for your supervisor’s review. If provided by your coordinator, you will see an option to use a template to draft your exhibition commentary. Additionally, the integration with Turnitin allows you and your supervisor to run a plagiarism check on your work.

💡Please note that Turnitin integration must be enabled by your school administrator for you to do a plagiarism check on submitted files.

Additionally, if the setting is enabled by your school administrator, your submitted files will be automatically locked within 15 minutes of upload. Alternatively, Once you have submitted the commentaries, your supervisor can lock the section. You will not be able to make any changes to the locked file unless your supervisor unlocks it for you.

Furthermore, you can easily check if your supervisor has annotated your commentaries by clicking on the bell icon on your homepage. As you click on the notification, you will be taken to the Exhibition commentary page, where you can find out where your supervisor has provided feedback by looking for a red dot next to the annotated file and a notification badge on the left pane.
