We've launched a new update for Service as Action that will enable MYP students to log hours for their service activities, while coordinators and supervisors will gain insights into the hours each student is investing. Dive into this article to learn more.
Configuring settings
Students will be able to log their SAA hours based on the configurations done by the school administrator. Under the ‘Setup’ tab of the module, admins will find a section to configure how students track time for their service activities.
Administrators can toggle students' ability to track the total duration of each activity in hours as well as provide a breakdown of their engagement with each service approach within an activity. These settings will immediately impact all students in the selected MYP batch and are turned off by default. Note that hours logged by students are retained even when the setting is disabled. If re-enabled, the previously entered hours will reappear for the respective activities.
Logging SAA hours
Once the options are enabled, students will have the capability to log the overall duration of their service activity as well as the specific hours spent on each service approach. This can be filled in by the student(s) or the designated supervisor from within the activity page, as highlighted below. For group activities, hours are recorded collectively at the activity level rather than individually for each student.
Dashboard view
The hours logged for each activity are displayed in the ‘Duration’ column on the supervisors’ and coordinator’s dashboard. This allows them to quickly view and track the total hours students have spent on their respective activities.
That's all for now. We will continue to innovate and improve to make your Toddle experience better each day!
