Updated over a week ago

The class portfolio is a space for students to document their personal learning journey by collecting evidence from their classroom activities over the two years of DP. It also encourages peer learning where students can see and engage with each other's work. Read this article to learn all about the class portfolio

This article will cover:

  1. Navigating to the class portfolio

  2. Creating a portfolio post

  3. Managing portfolio posts

  4. Viewing portfolio posts of peers

Navigating to the class portfolio

To navigate to the class portfolio, choose one of your classes from the homepage and click on ‘Portfolio’ in the left-hand collapsible menu. At the top, you will find two tabs:

  • Overview: It gives you an overview of the purpose of the DP class portfolio

Next, type in a description for your post. You can upload any combination of media files in a single post. These media attachments can be added using the following options:

  • Add from device

  • Add from Google Drive

  • Add from One Drive

  • Add a link

💡While adding files via Google Drive, you can choose to add them as a link or file. Before sharing them as links, you need to make sure that the files have appropriate access. In case you are sharing them as files, any changes made to the file after posting in the portfolio will not reflect in the attached file.

If you wish to remove any of the added media files, hover your cursor on the media card and click on the trash icon as shown below.

Once you are done uploading the media attachments, you can move on to add new or pre-existing tag(s) to the portfolio posts. These customized tags will help you to organize and filter all the portfolio entries within your class.

To create a new tag, type the keywords in the highlighted space and click on the plus icon.

In case you want to add an existing tag, type in the related keywords and choose the tag that you wish to add from the list of options.

Finally, you can publish the post using the ‘Publish’ button or save it as a draft using the ‘Save as draft’ button. The draft posts created by you will not be visible to the educators or your peers.

Once the post is published, it will start appearing along with other published posts in your class portfolio feed. The posts saved by you as drafts will be visible under the same feed labeled as ‘Draft’. You can always edit and publish the draft posts using the 3-dots menu against it.

💡Your peers will be able to view your posts only if the setting is enabled by your school administrator.
