As an MYP student, you can use Toddle to work on and manage your MYP Community project (CP), adhering to the IB guidelines. You can easily submit your community project proposal on Toddle to be reviewed by your supervisor, get feedback from your supervisor, keep track of submission deadlines, submit your final CP presentation and run a plagiarism check on it, keep a record of process journal entries, and much more!

In this article, we will cover the following:

  • Community project dashboard

  • Community project components

  • Review workflow

  • Community project completion by the supervisor

Community project dashboard

The Community project dashboard is where you will see an overview of your community project progress. To reach here, click on the ‘Community project’ card located under Projects on your homepage

💡 Please note that the Community project card will appear on your homepage only if your school administrator has invited you to the Community project module on Toddle.

Managing community project details

Clicking on the community project card on the ‘Your progress’ dashboard will take you to its detailed view as shown below. Use the left-hand panel to navigate between different sections, each representing a particular aspect of the community project. If you notice a numbered red badge next to any section in the left pane, it indicates that your supervisor or fellow collaborators, if any, have left a comment for you or made updates in that section. Additionally, a red dot on the comment icon, will tell you the exact field where a comment has been added.

Let us get into the details of each section visible in the left pane.

After filling out these sections, you can request your supervisor to review and approve your proposal. The status, as determined by your supervisor, will be displayed at the top of your screen.

You can upload the draft and final submissions for the presentation under the ‘Project presentation’ tab. If provided by your coordinator, you will see an option to use a presentation template in order to draft your presentation. The integration with Turnitin allows you and your supervisor to run a plagiarism check on your work.

💡Please note that Turnitin integration must be enabled by your school administrator for you to do a plagiarism check on submitted files.

Additionally, if the setting is enabled by your school administrator, your submitted files will be automatically locked within 15 minutes of upload. You will not be able to make any changes to the locked file unless your supervisor unlocks it for you.
