Hello educators,
Here’s a detailed look at the updates launching today and what’s coming soon:
Launching today
Integrations v1.2.0
Integration with learning tools: We’re excited to introduce seamless integrations with OneNote, Wayground (formerly Quizizz) and McGraw Hill! You can now embed digital notebooks, assign quizzes, and share textbook resources, all directly within Toddle. Students can access and complete these without ever leaving the platform.
Messaging v1.7.0
Introducing public channels: Want to share updates with a wider audience? With public channels, you can now start open conversations that anyone in your school can join - from staff to students and families. Use them to share announcements, updates, or spark conversations with the whole school community.
Projects v2.3.0
Faster grading in project gradebooks: Enjoy a faster, smoother grading experience across all project gradebooks. With keyboard-first navigation, direct cell editing, and easy copy-paste or drag-to-fill actions, recording student progress is now quicker and more efficient than ever.
Worksheet v2.6.0
New question types and full iOS support: You can now add audio and video response questions to make worksheets more interactive, so students can record or upload media directly in Toddle. Plus, students can access and respond to worksheets on all iOS devices (iOS 14.3+), including iPads and iPhones.
Unit planning v2.9.0
Revamped unit planning experience: Unit planning is now faster and more intuitive with a redesigned, scrollable layout that brings everything onto one page. You can move smoothly between sections, edit content in fewer clicks, and enjoy a document-style interface, allowing you to focus more on planning and less on navigating.
User experience improvements
Stronger integration with Google and Microsoft workspace: Teachers and students can now create Google and Microsoft docs, ppts, spread sheet files directly on Toddle. Previously limited to file uploads, you can now draft documents right where you work.
Increased upload limit for video files on web: You and your students can now upload larger video files on Toddle web - up to 500 MB, up from the earlier 200 MB limit. This makes it easier to share high-quality recordings for lessons, reflections, and submissions.
New camera setting: Mirror your photo: You and your students can now flip photos while capturing them on Toddle using the new ‘Mirror image’ button - perfect for when you want the image to appear as a reflection. Toddle will remember your preference for future captures, too!

Plan your rollout
The following updates will go live on the platform over the next few weeks. We strongly urge you to plan your rollout. You can contact your Toddle Buddy and schedule training sessions for your school team.
Progress reports v2.12.0
Smarter, more contextual AI-generated comments: We’ve reimagined how you generate progress report comments with Toddle AI. It now draws from student assignment evaluations and portfolio posts to create richer, more personalised feedback. You also have greater control over the context being used - and can even use voice input for a hands-free experience.
Calendar v2.3.0
Enhanced flexibility in creating events: We’ve redesigned the event creation process in Toddle calendar to make it more powerful and flexible. Teachers and admins can now create timed or all-day events, select specific participants, add attachments, and set up custom reminders, all from a simplified and intuitive interface.
Transcript v1.3.0
New customization options for transcripts: As an admin, you now have greater control over your school’s transcript layout. You can add student photos, insert watermarks, and edit programme names and table headers to match your school’s needs. Plus, import scores directly from the gradebook, alongside existing options of progress reports and Excel uploads.
Assignments v3.7.0
Set due date in past: You now have greater flexibility when documenting student learning! You can set due dates in the past while creating or editing assignments - ideal for recording offline tasks. Students won’t be notified about backdated assignments, and submissions won’t be considered late.
User experience improvements
Introducing Student flags: You can now add student-specific flags, such as medical needs, behavioural notes, or custody arrangements, with the new Student flags feature. Admins can define flag types, and staff can create, manage, and archive flags directly from student profiles. These flags appear alongside student names across key areas of the platform, giving all staff timely visibility into important information.
